Novak Djokovic reached the third round of the Tokyo Olympics tennis tournament on Monday after a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Jan-Lennard Struff of Germany.
Djokovic hit 14 aces and made just four unforced errors while staying on track to a Golden Grand Slam.
The world number one aims to become the first man to win the Big Four and the Olympics in the same season, a feat accomplished by Steffi Graf in 1988.
Djokovic has captured titles at the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon this year, and is the clear favorite for gold in Japan.
The Serbian, a 2008 Olympic bronze medalist, will play Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina for a place in the quarterfinals.
