Head coach Doc Rivers has been dealt with for the disappointing performance of the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA playoffs, who were ousted in the second round by the Denver Nuggets.
In a statement released Monday by the Californian training, it is specified that this is a joint decision between Rivers and the president of the team, Steve Ballmer.
“Doc has been a tremendous coach for the Clippers, an incredible ambassador and a pillar in tumultuous times,” said Ballmer. He won a lot of games and laid the foundations for this franchise. ”
The 58-year-old Rivers was the best coach in Clippers' history in wins, going 356-208 in seven seasons with the team. Under his leadership, the Clippers have qualified for the playoffs six times and reached the association final three times.
Before arriving in Los Angeles, he spent nine seasons at the helm of the Boston Celtics with whom he won the NBA championship in 2008.
