Dopage: un perchiste américain suspendu six mois pour consommation de cannabis

The vault american Cole Walsh, 10th of the last World athletics championships in Doha (Qatar) in October 2019, has been suspended six months for testing positive for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the main active principle of cannabis, has announced the anti-doping Agency u.s. (USADA).

Cole Walsh (24 years old), holder of a record of 5,83 m, has been tested positive on the 29th of January at the meeting room of Cottbus (Germany), where he finished 3rd behind compatriot double world champion Sam Kendricks and the Belgian Ben Broeders.

“As Walsh has successfully completed an educational program about his marijuana use, his suspension period (which began on 29 January) has been reduced to three months,” notes the USADA in a press release.
