The defender Tristan Luneau will be selected by the Olympic of Gatineau during the draft 2020 hockey League major junior of Quebec, on Friday.
The Olympics hold the first, second and fourth choice of the draft.
When asked by host Jean-Charles Lajoie, upon the issuance JiC on TVA Sports, if he was going to “take a chance and select Tristan Luneau”, the general manager and head coach of the team, Louis Robitaille, has responded clearly.
“Yes,” he simply said.
Luneau had hesitated to join the QMJHL with an agreement with the Badgers of the University of Wisconsin, where currently works with the hope of the Montreal canadiens Cole Caufield. It is necessary thus to believe that the young man allowed himself to be seduced by the formation of the Ottawa-gatineau region.
The Quebec has tallied six goals and 30 points in 37 games with the Booms of Three-Rivers in the national hockey League midget AAA.
