Eurasian media forum in Almaty brought together journalists from 60 countries

Journalists from more than 60 countries gathered in Almaty on traditional Eurasian media forum. There discuss the most pressing and relevant questions about a digital reality. Visited the forum and the President of Armenia Armen Sargsyan, reports channel “MIR 24”.

“When we say “media”, we not only think about journalism. So I think the future of the Eurasian media forum – is a real media, this is a real virtual life in which we live. Each of us spends several hours of his life in another space, in virtual space,” – said Sargsyan.

This year the main topics of conversation of journalists, politicians and public figures began a crisis of trust for media, bloggers and new media services, including artificial intelligence. To the audience at the forum sent its message and the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

“Every year, this area holds a high reputation, becoming one of the key events in the life of Kazakhstan media community. Social institutions concerned with the destructive impact of the Internet and social networks, especially on the younger generation. People need immunity to new phenomena and threats. All these and other problems must be seriously studied in the media community with the aim of obtaining a comprehensive answer. I wish you fruitful work and achievement of all our goals,” read a message Tokayev, the Minister of information and social development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Abayev.

At the forum the representatives of different countries can discuss controversial issues, to reach agreements, and agreements. The idea of such meetings proposed 17 years ago, the speaker of the Senate of Kazakhstan Dariga Nazarbayeva.
