Auger-Aliassime, 19, has defeated Slovenian Aljaz Bedene, 52nd in the world, in two sets of 6-4 and 7-6 (6).
During the dramatic tie-break that concluded the meeting, Auger-Aliassime has stolen the service of his opponent in the 14th point to clinch the victory on his first match ball.
It is already a second semi-final in a tournament of the ATP in 2020 for Auger-Aliassime, who had lost at this stage to face the Russian Andrey Rublev in Adelaide in mid-January.
The Spanish Pablo Carreno Busta, 30th racket world, will be his opponent in the semi-final in Rotterdam on Saturday.
Auger-Aliassime occupies the 21st place in the ranking of the ATP.
