Researchers from the cancer Institute in Pennsylvania (USA), found in grapes are the key to the fight against cancer of the colon.
Despite the fact that the grapes are often criticized because of the high sugar content, it is also considered a natural source of powerful antioxidants – polyphenols. These substances can slow or prevent the development of many types of cancer.
A recent study showed that the compounds contained in the skins and seeds of grapes, can effectively deal with colon cancer. It is the third most common cancer in world, which on average occurs in 5% of men and 4% women.
“The combination of resveratrol and grape seed extract very effective in killing cancer cells of the colon,” said the study’s author Jairam Vanamala (Jairam Vanamala).
