France: reduction of the trade deficit in November

(CercleFinance.com) – France’s trade deficit stood at 3.6 billion euros in November 2020, against 4.6 billion in October, according to data adjusted for seasonal variations and the effects of working days (CVS -CJO) of the customs administration.

On a three-month moving average, the deficit continued to decline (-0.6 billion euros) to reach a level of 3.9 billion. We have to go back to June 2016 to find such a low level. Its decline is explained by a more pronounced catching-up in exports.
