Quebecer Lance Stroll had a difficult second free practice session at the Russian Grand Prix, he who posted the 17th fastest time on Friday at the Sochi Autodrome.
The Racing Point rider completed his fastest lap in 1min 35.627 seconds. Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) had the best time, he who covered the circuit in 34 seconds less than the 21-year-old Canadian.
Stroll's teammate, Mexican Sergio Perez, finished sixth. The two men had respectively taken the fifth and fourth echelons of the first session.
Drivers' championship leader Lewis Hamilton was second and 19th in the second and first session, respectively. During his first test in Sochi, the Mercedes representative was greatly slowed down by problems with his tires. For his part, Torontonian Nicholas Latifi (Williams) finished 17th and 20th.
The third free practice session and qualifying for the Russian Grand Prix will be held on Saturday, while the race takes place on Sunday.
