Evasion of 50 thousand euros ascertained
Genoa – The Guardia di Finanza and the managers of the Genoa Customs Office have seized 55,000 prepaid SIM cards in the port of Genoa for a value of 165,000 euros attributable to a telephone company in Quatar. The cards were hidden inside a van from Tunisia.
Two people were sued for being responsible for the marketing and subsequent distribution of the cards at various points of sale in France. The two, having not presented at the time of the inspection any commercial or customs documentation certifying the payment of the duties and border rights due, were reported to the competent Authorities for competing in smuggling.
