Girls found dead: “It is a national tragedy”
|The discovery of the two girls died in Saint-Apollinaire, Saturday noon, has upset the people of Quebec.
Several public figures have expressed their sadness on social networks.
The prime minister of Québec, François Legault, has published on his page Facebook a message in which he said he was “upset” by the turn of events.
“It is a national tragedy”, he writes.
“It is the province of Quebec in whole crying with you today,” added the prime minister.
The vice-prime minister, Genevieve Guilbault, has also shared on Twitter a message of support to the mother of the girls.
“My heart weeps with that of the mother of Romy and Norah, to whom I wish a courage unimaginable,” can we read.
A mother lives for her children, and their survival is a tragedy that no words can translate. My heart weeps with that of the mother of Romy and Norah, to whom I wish a courage unimaginable. All efforts are being made to clarify the circumstances of this tragedy.
