The Verkhovna Rada in 2019 changed the base of calculation of tursbor and ordered to pay it to tourists staying in the private sector. This is evidenced by the law on amendments to the Tax code and other legislative acts on the revision of some tax rates (resource bill No. 9260 of “budget package”).
In addition, the act changes the rate of tursbor in 2019. In particular, for domestic tourists it rates should not exceed 0.5% of the minimum wage per day that from 1 January 2019 will amount to UAH 20,87. For inbound tourism up to 5% (208,65 UAH). Final the rates set by local councils, although they will not depend on the cost of accommodation or the hotel category.
