The YouTube channel of the polemicist French Dieudonne Me Bala Me Bala, convicted on several occasions for his anti-semitic statements, has been removed by the giant of the streaming, a-t we learned Tuesday, with Google France.

The page of the polemicist, which had approximately 400,000 subscribers, has disappeared in the last few hours. This deletion “falls within the framework of the process of restraint classic YouTube” and “made as a result of the violations repeated in our YouTube community guidelines”, explained to the AFP, Google France.

The mother house of the online video platform also notes that YouTube “has strengthened its regulations on “hate speech” (hate speech, editor’s NOTE) in June of last year,” and deleted several strings of white supremacist in the United States.

The disappearance of the chain of Dieudonné “is excellent news”, responded to the AFP Frederic Potter, the inter-ministerial delegate to fight against racism, anti-semitism and the hatred of anti-LGBT (Dilcrah), who had made numerous reports.

The decision was also welcomed by the Union of jewish students of France (UEJF), which reported on “dozens of videos” of the polemicist to YouTube in recent months.

“The hundreds of thousands of subscribers of Dieudonné are orphaned from their preacher of hate, and it is so much better,” he said in a press release the president of the UEJF, Noémie Madar, welcoming a decision that “marks a major step forward in the fight against hate on the internet”.

For her, “the other internet players now have no more excuses; Twitter and Facebook also take their responsibilities.” The networks over which Dieudonne respectively 150,000 and 1.2 million subscribers.

The polemicist has responded on Facebook denouncing “pressure israel”. The removal of its chain of recalls, according to him, “the autodafés the darkest hours of History.”

Accustomed to courts, Dieudonne has been repeatedly condemned by the law for his hate speech. His last conviction date of November: he had been sentenced to 9000 euro fine on charges of insulting anti-semitic.
