En route to the hospital in Saint-Hyacinthe, the father of a family allegedly died of a heart attack at the wheel of his car after being refused access to a CLSC.
Pier-Marc Vadnais, 33, was working on a construction site in Carignan, on 10 June, when he experienced discomfort.

Mr. Vadnais, who resided in Saint-Eugène-de-Grantham, in Centre-du-Québec, has warned his boss that he was going to the CLSC du Richelieu, a few minutes from the site.
“It reminded me around 9: 15 a.m. to tell me that the CSLC did not want to take, because there was no folder there. He went to the nearest hospital, the one in Saint-Hyacinthe “, says Mr. Ouellette.
After being denied a consultation at the CLSC du Richelieu, Pier-Marc Vadnais has also phoned his wife.
“He called me to tell me that he was not feeling well, but that the CLSC had fired from the edge, because he was not taking new people. He had a sore chest, but he told me that he was able to drive to the hospital, ” said Veronique Bonin, adding that her husband was asthmatic, but that he had no other health problems.
A 35-minute drive
The travel time between the CLSC du Richelieu and the hospital maskoutain is more than 35 minutes.
On the chemin des Patriotes, Saint-Mathias-sur-Richelieu, Pier-Marc Vadnais has made an exit from the road, confirms the Régie intermunicipale de police Richelieu–Saint-Laurent.
