“It is them who have to live our Quebec for decades, this is the least things to give them care and love,” says Yanick Bellefleur.

More young, the father of the family dreamed of becoming a paramedic. But as the school was not a part of the fun for him, he has earned after having completed his first secondary school and ended up in a factory for the manufacture of automobile parts.

“He has always held jobs that do the passionate not so that we lack nothing and that we can go to school,” says his son, 27-year-old, Nicholas Bellefleur.

Last summer, while her children were established in their respective lives, Yanick Bellefleur felt that it was time to realize his dream.

Back-to-school

“I went back to school, I went to get my equivalency for adults, and I had almost finished my course of employee beneficiaries, when schools were closed because of the crisis,” explains the fifty-year-old.

Yanick Bellefleur has done everything to contribute.

He first worked in two clinics. However, there are a little over two weeks, he has finally received the much awaited phone. He was sent to the Manoir Harwood, CHSLD side red, where 74 % of residents are suffering from the COVID-19.

“He was crazy like a broom !” launches his son, laughing.

As the wife of Mr. Bellefleur has diabetes and fibromyalgia, the whole family has agreed to move temporarily.

“My wife and I have installed my mother here with us while my father is living her dream and help the people that need them most at the CHSLD,” explains Nicolas Bellefleur.

Small dishes

The lovebirds, who have been together for over 30 years, get bored, however many.

The wife of Mr. Bellefleur continues to prepare small dishes, and his children bring him his groceries, that they lay at the foot of the door of the house.

“My mother is glad to do it for him. He saw something beautiful, he lives his dream, she does not want to stop there, ” said the young man.
