A Greek court handed down a guilty verdict against the Ukrainian sailor, who illegally transported Syrian refugees.

Yesterday March 12, the Greek court finished the trial of Ukrainian sailor and gave him a guilty verdict. According to the court, a citizen of Ukraine Brovchenko have to serve a prison sentence of 180 years for illegal transportation of Syrian refugees to Europe.
It is noteworthy that such accusations had already been made citizens of the European Union and Turkey, which have received significantly shorter terms of imprisonment, and many of them are already free. As stated by Ukrainian sailor, this was perhaps only after the intervention of diplomats from other countries, Ukrainian representatives failed to make such arrangements. Also Brovchenko said that the Greek authorities do not allow the Ukrainians to defend themselves.
