In Istanbul’s Besiktas district on Monday, November 4, the city bus driver crashed into a bus stop with passengers. As a result, the incident killed one person. Another 13 people were injured. However, the driver trying to escape with a knife attacked people who tried to stop him. As the BBC reports, among the injured were three Iranian citizens and two children. Turkish police said that 33-year-old driver was detained after he jumped into the sea to try to escape from the scene. It is unknown whether the driver deliberately drove into the bus stop. Police said that an investigation has begun.
