Honorary Consulate of Indonesia was opened in Kharkov on Sumskaya 70. The event was attended by Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia in Ukraine, UDDI of Krishnanda and the staff of the Embassy, the honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia in Kharkiv region, Alexander Feldman, the delegation of Indonesian House of Creations for Great Indonesia headed by its Director Chris Budihardjo, as well as representatives of the Indonesian business.
As noted by the honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia in the Kharkiv region, Oleksandr Feldman, the opening of the Consulate will give a new impetus to the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
“The potential of that cooperation in different fields – huge, — said Alexander Feldman. — Indonesia is the largest economy in Southeast Asia, is the fourth country in the world by population. And Kharkiv region — major industrial, agricultural, cultural and educational center of Ukraine. Points of mutual interest and development between us very much. And it may be, indeed, the point of growth.”
Mr. Feldman also noted that over the last five years Ukraine has become the second largest trading partner of Indonesia in Central and Eastern Europe. “Today, one of the urgent tasks is to enhance direct business contacts between Indonesian and Ukrainian business. I think in the near future we will be ready to offer a long-term program held in Kharkov bilateral business forums,” said the honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia in the Kharkiv region. Alexander Feldman has promised that in the near future will be presented and the programme of activities of the Honorary Consulate of Indonesia in Kyiv.
