Kiev could return to the idea of the introduction of UN peacekeepers in the Donbass, if the Ukrainian authorities recognize that failure to resolve the conflict based on the Minsk agreements, said the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadim pristayko.According to the diplomat, now the Kiev authorities “are trying to do everything in the framework of Minsk”.
“And when we understand that in the framework of the Minsk nothing new to say you can not, then we will go to the next step,” said the foreign Minister on air of TV channel “Ukraine”.Pristayko noted that it is likely to be the introduction of peacekeeping forces. He also stressed that the team of President Vladimir Zelensky “have some plans for it.”
The issue of introduction of peacekeepers
Ukraine insists on the introduction of UN peacekeepers in the Donbass. In Kiev insist that the mission should have a broad mandate and be accommodated in all areas up to the border with Russia.President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of the introduction of the peacekeeping contingent in the South-East of Ukraine.
