The National police has warned the abduction of the assistant to the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada in Kiev. On Thursday reported the press service of the national police of Ukraine.
“The attackers, who had clearly planned her abduction for extorting ransom in the amount of 500 thousand U.S. dollars, was detained. In the framework of criminal proceedings are conducted investigative actions”, – stated in the message.
As noted last month, the police received operative information about the activities of the gang that was preparing to kidnap a man in order to ransom him.
Investigators of the head investigative Department began criminal proceedings under part 3 of article 146 (illegal imprisonment or kidnapping) and part 3 of article 15, part 4 St. 189 (attempted extortion) of the Criminal code, and then together with the staff of criminal investigation Department and emergency services began documenting their criminal activities.
On Thursday, the police detained suspects who planned the abduction of the assistant to the Deputy of the Parliament with violence. Thus in the message did not contain the names of the assistant and the Deputy.
According to the press service, during the inspection of the suspects, they seized a hammer, a knife, two syringes with a substance similar to a narcotic, and grenade.
The detainees were two earlier judged inhabitants of the regions of Ukraine, at the age of 31 and 47 years. Pre-trial investigation established that the defendants had carefully prepared for the crime: he studied the area near the workplace of the victim, her schedule and even came prepared for further detention after the abduction.
The suspects were arrested, at the moment the issue of the announcement of suspicion in Commission of crime. According to the sanction of the article to them threatens from 5-ti to 10-ti years of imprisonment. The investigation is continuing.Video: YouTube/the National polce Ukraine
