At the shipyard Remontowa Shipbuilding in Gdansk launched the trawler “Albatross” – the second ship mine defense class “Cormoran-2”, designed for the Navy of Poland. About it reports Naval Today. Simultaneously with the launching of the “Albatross” at the shipyard in Gdansk laid the third submarine mine defense of class “Cormoran-2” – “MEVA”. According Naval Today, the supply of the Albatross Polish Navy is planned for 2020, and MEVA – to 2021-th. Of the Polish Navy decided to form a compound of minesweepers to search for and neutralize mines in the exclusive economic zone of the Republic, participate in the operations of the fleet and of NATO in the Baltic and North sea and other auxiliary tasks.
