It is proposed to postpone the entry into force of the law until 2021 instead of 2020
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine proposes to postpone the entry into force of the law on criminal offences. It is reported by information Department of the Verkhovna Rada.
Thus, the Committee on law enforcement held a hearing entitled “the Readiness to introduce the Institute of criminal misconduct in the practical activity of bodies of preliminary investigation from 1 January 2020.”
“The Committee’s Chairman Denis Monastery, opening the hearing, said that today there is a bill submitted by deputies, deferral of the Institute of criminal offenses before January 1, 2021”, – stated in the message.
While there is a valid law under which the Institute of criminal misconduct must earn from 1 January 2020, i.e. in just over a month and a half.
We will remind, the law on criminal offences, was published in the edition “Voice of Ukraine” on April 24. The law will come into force on 1 January 2020.
So, on April 22, the fifth President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the law on the new classification of criminal offences.
