The ban on the import of starch and syrup production from the Russian Federation to the customs territory of Ukraine came into effect today, January 8.
This is stated in the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers dated 27 December 2018, informs Rus.Media.
In addition, the Ordinance No. 1154 amending the list of goods prohibited for import into the customs territory of Ukraine originating from the Russian Federation was published on 29 December 2018 and shall enter into force after 10 days from the date of publication.
According to the document, Ukraine banned the import of starch and patakova products codes uktzed:
- 1108 12 00 00 (corn starch);
- 1702 30 (glucose and syrup of glucose, fructose or containing less than 20 wt.% fructose in the dry state);
- 1702 40 (glucose and syrup of glucose content in the dry state at least 20 wt.%, but less than 50 wt.% of fructose, excluding invert sugar);
- 1702 90 50 00 (maltodextrin and maltodextrine syrup).
All these products are manufactured in Russia and are now banned in Ukraine.
