Permanent ban on eviction of tenants of hostels of the Soviet came into force in Ukraine on 8 February. Before the moratorium was extended until 2022.
On Friday, February 8, in Ukraine came into force a law which provides for the extension of the moratorium on the eviction of residents of hostels until the completion of the implementation of the National targeted program of transfer of hostels in ownership of local communities (without specifying dates).
Thus, it is now forbidden to evict tenants of the hostels, which were built in Soviet times and dispose of them. The moratorium does not apply to eviction by court, informs Rus.Media.
The law extended the effect of the changes in paragraph 3 of section VIII of the Law of Ukraine from September 4, 2008 No. 500-VI. Thus, the indefinite moratorium is declared until the conclusion of the implementation of National targeted program of transfer of hostels in ownership of local communities. It was previously set to January 1, 2022.
