28 October in Ukraine will start the historical film “the Price of truth” about the investigation of journalist Gareth Jones of the truth about the Holodomor of 1932-1933. Visit it for the first time will be able to people with hearing and vision: with the help of mobile applications Earcatch and Subcatch they will get tiflo-commentary and subtitles adapted during the session.
“Now the blind and deaf people will be able to watch any film to which the created or adapted tiflo-commentary subtitles. And it does not need to go to the “cinema special” or “special screening”, just download the app on your smartphone and enjoy movies available. We want all movies that come out in the Ukrainian film was available for blind and deaf people. And it is several millions of Ukrainian citizens with impaired vision or hearing, which previously could not watch a movie on a par with everyone,” says Viktoriya Luchka, co-founder of the Agency “more accessible Kno”.
“This is a great event for the accessibility of cinema in Ukraine and we are glad that the “Price of truth” will be able to look at people with impaired vision or hearing at any time convenient for them. The next film, which we believe it is important to make available to everyone, “Pulse”, which will be released in 2020,” says the producer Egor Olesov.
