Consumer prices in Ukraine in June 2018 for the second consecutive month remained stable since the beginning of year their growth was 4.4%, reported the State statistics service (state statistics) on Monday.
According to the Agency, in annual terms (June-2018 June-2017) inflation slowed to 9.9% from 11.7% at the end of may, and 13.1% at the end of April.
Core inflation in June 2018 is also dropped to zero from 0.2% in may and 0.6% in April, while in annual terms amounted to 9% compared to 9.3% at the end of may.
As reported, inflation in Ukraine in 2017 accelerated to 13.7% compared to 12.4% in 2016, which, however, significantly lower than in past years: 2015 – 43.3%, and in 2014 to 24.9%.
The national Bank at the end of October 2017, downgraded the inflation forecast for 2018 from 6% to 7.3% in January 2018 to 8.9% and the Cabinet of Ministers from 7% to 9%.
In addition, to curb the growth of prices of national Bank on March 2 raised its key interest rate to 17% from 16%.
