Chinese President XI Jinping and Kyrgyz President Sooronbai Jeenbekov held a meeting in Bishkek. The heads of state agreed that security in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region, through effective measures to prevent the occurrence there of any manifestations of extremism, separatism and terrorism, reports TASS with reference to the Chinese foreign Ministry.
According to XI Jinping, relations between the two countries for a long time been developing steadily.
“We managed to establish to each other and great trust. We rely on each other in security issues, closely cooperate in the international arena”, – said the head of China.
He added that China is ready to share with the Bishkek experience of public administration for the sake of mutual prosperity, to unite efforts to strengthen the bilateral partnership.
“We are pleased that our cooperation on joint projects initiative “One belt and one road” is becoming more intense and realistic,” – said XI Jinping.
Jeenbekov, in turn, stressed that Kyrgyzstan supports the actions of the Chinese authorities to ensure stability and security in Xinjiang. He thanked Beijing for their active support and expressed willingness to develop in many areas of relations with China.
We will remind, on Thursday in Bishkek opens a summit of the SCO. The presidents of eight countries will take part in the two-day forum.
