Jeenbekov expects to strengthen economic cooperation with India

The President of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbekov Sooronbai expects to strengthen economic cooperation with India. He declared in Bishkek during talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra modi, reports TASS.

“Today’s events, including business forum and exhibition of textiles, is a decisive steps aimed at improving the level of cooperation in trade-economic sphere”, – said Jeenbekov.

In his opinion, cooperation prospects now depend largely on how well will implement plans to establish a joint financial mechanisms. Kyrgyzstan is actively working on implementation of state programs on development of horticulture and livestock. Also, according to the Zheenbekov, the two countries have experience of cooperation in the field of education.

Note that during a meeting in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and India signed important documents relating to the sectors of the economy. For example, on mutual protection and investment promotion measures to avoid double taxation, as well as the creation of the roadmap of trade-economic cooperation for five years.

The Prime Minister of India, arrived in Bishkek on an official visit, during which he also took part in session of Council of heads of member States of the Shanghai cooperation organization. The summit was attended by leaders of Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, and leaders of observer countries – Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran and Mongolia. As honored guests were also invited representatives of UN, CSTO, CIS Executive Committee and the Eurasian economic Commission.
