The only member of the NDP in Quebec, Alexandre Boulerice, relayed a joke on social networks about François Legault which did not please the Bloc Quebecois.
“It is a provincial jurisdiction to neglect sick elderly people, the federal government does not have to tell us how to do that,” the left-wing satirical page “Le Revoir” posted on Facebook on Thursday, pretending, jokingly , that these cartoonish remarks had been made by Prime Minister François Legault.
This publication was ironic about a recent outing by the Premier of Quebec in which he criticized the throne speech, criticizing the Trudeau government for wanting to interfere in the areas of jurisdiction of the healthy provinces.
The deputy leader of the NDP, who is expected to support the throne speech, obviously appreciated the mockery. Alexandre Boulerice reposted it on Twitter on Friday, raising the ire of elected members of the Bloc Québécois, who find the joke inappropriate towards François Legault.
“What contempt. Unworthy of an elected representative of Quebec. There are always many damn limits … “tweeted the member for Lac-Saint-Jean, Alexis Brunelle-Duceppe.
“We must indeed legitimately question the judgment of an elected official who shares the message of a false media which insults and slanders under the pretext of humor against the PM of Quebec and in favor of that of Canada. Especially a member of an opposition in distress, ”added the leader of the Bloc Québécois, Yves-François Blanchet.
Despite the attacks of his opponents, Alexandre Boulerice did not remove the image of “Revoir” from his Twitter account.
“Well, at least that's clear. The sense of humor is not the strong point of the members of the Bloc. The skin is quite thin … ”, instead retorted the NDP member for Rosemont – La Petite-Patrie.
