Kazakh journalists went on a press tour in Belarus

Well-known journalists and popular bloggers from Kazakhstan went on a press tour in Belarus, timed to the 75-th anniversary of liberation from Nazi invaders, reports channel “MIR 24”.

First the journalists visited the Museum of the great Patriotic war. Ahead of the meeting with the Kazakh Diaspora, a visit to the memorial complex “Khatyn”. Guests will participate in a rally-Requiem which will take place in Brest on 22 June in Day of memory of victims of war.

“My grandfather defended Belarus. He was awarded medals “For the capture of Koenigsberg”, “For bravery” and the order of the liberation of Belarus. During the war he went to the hottest point of the front and saved his comrades,” – said a student of the Eurasian national University named after Lev Gumilev, blogger nurtleu Seitov.

“This kind of memorial complexes and museums, which we have seen here, is the basis of spiritual culture, that we through the prism of historical events need to be preserved. Historical memory is very fragile. Now a lot of information that’s trying to send to other conclusions about those terrible days,” said historian Yerzhan Bagatov.

In the framework of the press tour, journalists visited the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Belarus.
