The drama happened late on Wednesday night, December 16. At around 1:30 a.m., a fight broke out between several migrants towards the Porte de la Villette, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. One of them, armed with a knife, killed a person; two others are injured, including one seriously according to the Paris firefighters. They transported the victims to hospital.
The second regional directorate of the judicial police (DPJ) of the Paris police headquarters was reportedly seized in connection with this case.
This brawl comes just a few weeks after the evacuation of a hundred migrants from Place de la République. Since then, associations have requested the opening of around 1,000 accommodation places to accommodate these migrants excluded from the city by the police. Today, 394 places have been opened, according to the ministers in charge of the file.
