Transfers of patients from three hospitals in montreal to the Centre hospitalier de l’université de Montréal (CHUM) have been completed.
Sunday before-noon, 110 patients of the Hospital of Our Lady have been transported to the CHUM, as was the case in recent weeks for the patients of the hospitals Saint-Luc and Hôtel-Dieu.
Dozens of volunteers and staff were mobilized for the operation.
The Notre-Dame Hospital, who will be assigned to the integrated Center for academic health and social services Centre-Sud-de-L Ile-de-Montreal, will focus now on the intensive care unit, general psychiatry and family medicine.
The minister of Health and social Services, Gaétan Barrette, has summoned the media to a press conference on Sunday afternoon to make an announcement about the Hospital of Notre-Dame.
The new CHUM, covers an area of nearly 300,000 square meters, account, in particular, 772 single rooms, 39 operating rooms and more than 400 exam rooms.
