A single from Jonathan Landry in the seventh inning helped the Quebec Diamonds win the final of the Quebec Elite Junior Baseball League (LBJEQ) with a third victory over the Dukes, this time by a 6-5 count. Sunday in Longueuil.
The national capital club won this series 3-1.
Landry had produced a first run in the first inning, again with a single. His teammates Jean-Christophe Masson and Olivier Bovet imitated him, while Joey Rousseau hit a long ball solo.
Emanuel Rochon Nunez did well in relief, giving only one hit in four innings of work.
