The Chairman of the National Council LNR Denis Miroshnichenko declared that Lugansk does not recognize any “decentralisatie”
LUGANSK, 14 Dec. /TASS/. Luhansk people’s Republic insists that Kiev has agreed with the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics (DPR, LPR) amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine on decentralization. This statement was made by the Chairman of the National Council of Luhansk national Republic (LNR) Denis Miroshnichenko.”The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky introduced to the Verkhovna Rada the draft amendments to the Constitution on decentralization of power in Ukraine. These amendments have no relation to Ukraine’s implementation of the Minsk agreements and decisions recorded in the last meeting of leaders “Norman Quartet” – quoted Miroshnichenko Luganskinform.
The President stressed that, according to Minsk agreements, “any changes regarding the special status of Donbass should take account of its characteristics and a mandatory consultation with the Luhansk and Donetsk people’s republics.”
“We do not recognize any “decentralisatie”, adopted without the consent of the LC AND the DNI, and the required to discuss these amendments at the next meeting of the contact group in Minsk on 18 December,” – said Miroshnichenko.Zelensky was submitted to the Parliament a bill on decentralization of December 13. The text of the document is not yet available on the Parliament website.
