Through the lot of bad news, here is some good one. The Cowboys Fringants are back in the studio to record not one, but two albums.
These, whose release date has not been announced, will include a selection of songs created since the beginning of their careers, but which had never been recorded.
The group made the official announcement on social media on Tuesday, posting a photo to their Instagram account.
“The band is in the studio in a beautiful location to record two records featuring several songs that have been cut from their albums over the years. More than 25 titles will be recorded. We hope you will enjoy it! ”We could read in the publication.
The Cowboys Fringants had allowed us to discover some of these hidden gems in web capsules launched during the spring containment, called Retailles de disks.
That doesn't mean that those pieces put aside in the final album sorting aren't great songs. Let us recall that L'Amérique meure is itself a “disc cut-out”: its creator, Jean-François Pauzé, told the Journal when the album Les antipodes was released in October 2019 that she was sleeping in the mountains. drawers since 2014.
The excerpt finally shattered all radio records, having spent the most consecutive weeks at the French-speaking number 1 of the top 100 BDS, a chart based on the number of weekly rotations of a piece in 47 radio stations in Quebec.
The music video now has over 10.5 million views.
We are therefore impatiently awaiting the release of these new old songs.
