[LIVE] COVID-19: Laval and the Outaouais switch to orange zone

The government switched two new regions to the orange zone on Tuesday, as the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to accelerate in Quebec.

Thus, the Laval and Outaouais regions have gone from yellow to orange, while the Center-du-Québec sector has gone from green to yellow.

Quebec reported 489 new cases and one death on Tuesday, bringing the total to 68,617 people infected and 5,805 dead.

“I contribute” to help screening

While he is satisfied with the reduction in waiting times in screening centers, Minister Dubé calls on several trades to reduce the burden on health workers.

Thus, audiologists, dentists, dietitians-nutritionists, dental hygienists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, nursing assistants, medical technologists and midwives who are in a position to lend a hand are invited to register on “I contribute” in order to carry out screening tests on the population.

For investigations, the Minister of Health invites police officers and people who have experience in investigation and poll to register.
