Lukashenko: Belarusian Future in the unity of the people

The future of Belarus lies in the unity of the people and national unity. This was stated by Alexander Lukashenko at a solemn meeting on the eve of independence Day, TV channel “MIR 24”.

The head of state urged to learn from past lessons, and also stressed that its peaceful life for the people of Belarus are obliged to veterans, heroes of the home front and all Belarusians of the postwar period.

“It is the duty of our generation to live as you. Teach your children like you to love the Motherland, to work for its benefit and to be ready to defend the Fatherland. It is our duty to instill in young hearts a sense of pride in the glorious generation of Belarusians, who in difficult times proved to be worthy of independence, worthy of our Belarus. The planet is home to two thousand large and small nationalities, but only one tenth of them managed to create their own state and to make sure that it took place”, – said Lukashenko.

In Belarus tomorrow is a rest day. Solemn events are planned across the country. In Minsk will pass parade of military vehicles and Galla-concert. And to end the celebration of independence Day with traditional fireworks.
