Lyon: a festive meal for international students

Gravelax salmon marinated in dill and coleslaw, pikeperch fillet or venison stew and its accompaniments … Up to the chocolate log with of course, some extra papillotes! The lunch basket offered to international students of Lyon 1 was intended to be as festive as possible.

    “I miss Romania, but …”

This December 24 in the morning on the Doua campus, the chef surrounded by volunteers distributed around 200 meals to the students’ delight. “It’s super nice”, smiles Anastasia, a Romanian civil engineering student. “I couldn’t find any flights home to see my family, so I’m going to spend the holidays with my brother here. I miss Romania but … what can I do?”, she continues a bit nostalgic.

Epidemic or not, Fung had no plans to return to China this year anyway. “I just got here, so I will stay with my friends. But really, on behalf of the school, I find it very nice to offer us these meals.”, adds the student.

To note that Lyon 1 University is continuing all of its support systems for students. Help lines, financial assistance, in particular to equip oneself with computer equipment: all the information is gathered on the faculty’s website.
