© www.kmu.gov.uathe Decision by President Vladimir Zelensky and Prime Minister Alexei Goncharuk, on the reduction of tariffs for heat in the current heating season will not have force, said the co-chair of the energy strategies Foundation Dmytro Marunych, at a press conference in Kiev on 6 December.He recalled that recently the President of Ukraine, after consulting with Prime Minister Alexey Goncharuk and other members of the government, said that there is a way to reduce tariffs for heat in this cold season up to 50%.
At the same time in the country for about 80% of the municipal enterprises of thermal power tariffs set for local authorities. Therefore, a joint decision of the President and the Prime Minister will not be binding, as neither the Cabinet nor the President have no right to dictate to local authorities what fees to set, said Marunych.
Recall, December 2, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in the video said that the government is working to ensure that this winter has been reduced bills for heating.
“Also found an interesting solution that will allow next winter to reduce tariffs for heat by almost half. It will be a separate program, we are preparing the information about preparing stages which funds will be allocated,” said Zelensky.
