Mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor would like to have a second experience in the world of professional boxing.
The Irishman's agent, Audie Attar, confirmed to ESPN that he is currently having discussions with Manny Pacquiao's clan.
“I'm going to fight Manny Pacquiao in the Middle East,” McGregor wrote on his Twitter account after the US broadcaster reported the news.
The fight would take place in late December or early January, Attar also said.
“Manny Pacquiao has always been up for new challenges,” Manny Pacquiao Promotions chairman Sean Gibbons told ESPN.
On August 26, 2017, McGregor made his entry into boxing when he faced the famous Floyd Mayweather Jr. The specialist in mixed martial arts lost this duel by stopping the referee in the 10th round.
As was the case in 2017, the UFC would be a partner in McGregor's project. It also seems that the plan of “Notorius” would be to return to the organization of Dana White after his fight against Pacquiao.
McGregor's last fight in the UFC dates back to January 18, 2020, when he defeated Donald Cerrone by knockout.
