Proposals by some Ukrainian politicians to abandon the implementation of the Minsk agreements mean a rejection of part of the territory of the country and the people who live there. This was stated by the head of the political Council of the party “Opposition platform For life”, the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Viktor Medvedchuk.”It [Ukraine] may declare withdrawal from the Minsk agreements. But those who from the agreement will be released and will not be included in another, it would mean the rejection of people from the territories. And under the Criminal code it is a violation of territorial integrity. It’s the actions that constitute the offense”, – he said in an interview on Saturday published by the TV channel “112 Ukraine”.

Medvedchuk separately criticized the idea of the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadim Pristayko about the possible withdrawal of Kiev from the Minsk agreements. “In pristayko there are already signs of the state crime for which he should be held responsible. It’s time to evaluate the statements Pristayko and many others who advocate for the fence, behind the wall, abandoning areas and for the rejection of the people”, – said the politician.
