Skater Evgeny Medvedev before leaving for Canada explained his decision and talked about plans for the future. “Now I clearly understand that, for me, begins a completely new life. I’ve never lived in another country, never trained by foreign experts, never in my life did not eat unusual food longer than two-three weeks. That is, everything is changing. Brand new sheet” — confessed to Eugene in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“In Moscow I have no ice”
According to Medvedeva, after the Olympics in Pyongyang, where it took second place after Sagitova Alina, she was emotionally restored.
“It was a long process. My body and brain is designed so that I am very quick to recover after any exertion. Both mental and physically. But after the Olympics it was very long. In fact, only now I can say that the mental has recovered completely,” admitted the skater.
Medvedev said that almost did not train lately due to the fact that there is no place. “In Moscow I have no ice. In the sense that it was not the main base,” — said the athlete.
“At home I have a simulator that allowed me to keep my muscles in working condition. With regard to functional forms, no athlete will be able to maintain without intense training. For this, I am now going to Canada,” explained Medvedev.
“My mother and grandmother sacrificed their lives”

“My mom had to calculate how much we are ready to move into the financial plan. When she said that we can move, I realized that I need to borrow skates in the teeth and in Canada. There I will meet Jason brown. Meet my mom and drive to our new home,” — said the skater.
According to Eugenia, her parents support and she doesn’t want to disappoint them
“I often think about what my mother and grandmother are largely sacrificed their lives for the sake of I had the opportunity to develop as a skater. If I feel that don’t meet their expectations… I don’t want to feel,” admitted Medvedev.
“My parents were also realists and understand that the most important thing in life is to continue to work. There is no result, then work on. Is the result? Great. So, too, are working on. Now, if I for some reason don’t fulfill those obligations that should, then there is the guilt,” — said the athlete.
