The government intends to make the transition on the electronic employment record of Russia to be smooth, said Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, informs RIA.
Medvedev recalled that the new rules will come into force on 1 January 2021 and during the 2020 employers will prepare for the transition from paper to electronic workbook. At the same time wishing to retain a paper document.
“We want this transition was smooth. It affects about 60 million workers, approximately 8.5 million businesses. Therefore, there remains the possibility of maintaining service books on paper if the employee this statement will apply. But as soon as he begins his career, the book will be issued in electronic form,” – said Medvedev.
The Prime Minister also described the advantages of electronic employment record. Innovation will lead to cost reduction for employers, which now store the information in paper form. In addition, information about employees is not lost, even if the paper book is lost.
