Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev expressed hope that the new configuration of the Parliament in Moldova will help to get the country out of the difficult political situation. In addition, he expects greater cooperation not only through Parliament but also the government. He said this during the meeting with Chairman of the Moldovan Parliament, Chairman of the Party of socialists Zinaida Greceanii.
“We hope that the new configuration, which was formed in the Parliament, the new government will help the country to emerge from quite complex processes, which the state experienced in recent years”, – quoted Medvedev RIA “Novosti”.
He reminded that Moscow and Chisinau are close to each other, since a large number of Moldovans work in Russia, with bilateral cooperation in recent times it has stalled.
“We need to do everything now and through the Parliament and the government for this cooperation to be intensified,” – said Medvedev.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction that the Cabinet of Ministers there is a new kind of interaction – were appointed co-chairmen of the intergovernmental Commission. Medvedev expressed hope that this step will facilitate the work of governments and decides the accumulated tasks of the Executive.
Speaking about inter-parliamentary cooperation, the Russian Prime Minister expressed hope that the new Parliament under the leadership Greceanii will begin to build a constructive inter-parliamentary dialogue.
“I hope that this can be done, because… this, I think, in the interests of the two countries and the two peoples”, – concluded Medvedev.
Zinaida Greceanii, in turn, thanked the Prime Minister for the reception. She pointed out that the meeting is attended by representatives of all parliamentary parties, adding that the Moldovan parliamentarians have been able to find a consensus in order to overcome all the obstacles to the development of Moldova.
