In the Bishkek summit of the Shanghai cooperation organization (SCO). It brought together the leaders of eight member countries and observer States.
It was mainly about economic cooperation and security, including of information. The parties discussed the settlement of the situation in Afghanistan and Syria, also touched on Iran’s nuclear program. According to the results of the SCO summit heads of States adopted the Bishkek Declaration, which reflected their vision of further development of this Association.
The SCO chairmanship passed from Kyrgyzstan to Russia. The next meeting is scheduled for 22 and 23 July 2020 in Chelyabinsk.
Earlier the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in an exclusive interview of broadcasting company MIR said that the SCO “has become quite serious and multidimensional regional organization.”
