The Blue Jackets of Columbus were on Monday granted a one-year contract, forward Mikhail Grigorenko, who will be in the national hockey League (NHL) after a three-year stay in Russia.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but according to TSN, former door-colours of the Quebec Remparts in the QMJHL will receive $ 1.2 million.
Grigorenko has been a choice of the first round, the 12th in total, the Sabres of Buffalo in 2012. However, it has not lived up to expectations and was traded to the Colorado Avalanche in June 2015. In career in the NHL, the skater 25 years of age has scored 64 points, including 22 goals, in 217 clashes.
During the last three campaigns, it has evolved with CSKA Moscow in the KHL. In 2019-2020, he got 19 nets and 22 assists for 41 points in 47 outings.
