Tacoy noted that the pipeline will transport natural gas from Turkey to TRNC in 2025.Line length of 80 kilometersKumbaroglu told that the gas pipeline can be constructed in parallel with the aqueduct, built between the TRNC and Turkey, and have a length of 80 kilometers.Kumbaroglu noted that the pipeline in the direction of TRNC with an exit point in the area between Mersina and Antalya can be implemented faster than planned, while Turkey, which will receive gas through the TRANS-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP) and the “Turkish stream” will be enough gas for the gas supply of the TRNC.This pipeline can be bidirectional, continued Kumbaroglu, so the natural gas that will be extracted in the Mediterranean sea in the coming period, maybe this same pipeline to be supplied to Turkey and transferred to Europe. Kumbaroglu added that due to the small depth of the sea in the proposed area along the pipeline route its cost will be high.
