The presidents of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoev the results of the negotiations held in Dushanbe discussed the prospects of cooperation between the two countries, in particular, considered the establishment of joint production enterprises, told in the press service of the head of Tajikistan.
Mirziyoev arrived in the capital of Tajikistan to attend the summit of conference on interaction and confidence building measures in Asia (CICA). It will be held on June 15. The Meeting involved 27 States. On the agenda – security and prosperity of the Asian region.
Rahmon and Mirziyoev as priority targets highlighted the development of trade and economic relations and increase trade turnover. The leaders also agreed to occupy the relation to each other “permanent and stable position” to implement the previously reached agreements on a number of projects.
In addition, the parties paid special attention to such issues as the situation in Afghanistan and the fight against terrorism, extremism and illegal drug distribution. The heads of state agreed to organize the “days of Dushanbe in Tashkent” and “Days Tashkent to Dushanbe.”
