Monthly imports of fuel from Belarus peaked in 2015

In November, jet fuel Novopolotsk oil refinery (Belarus) to Ukraine amounted to 14.4 thousand tons, a maximum monthly volume of imports from Belarus from September 2015.

Compared to October, imports of Belarusian Republic of Tatarstan in Ukraine increased by 24% (2.8 thousand tons). For comparison, the average monthly volume of aviation-fuel supplies from Belarus for 10 months of 2019 amounted to 5.1 thousand tons.

Imports from Lithuania, which this year is the main source of supply of jet fuel on the Ukrainian market in November increased by 2.4%, to 15.1 thousand tons. Sea deliveries in November amounted to 4.2 thousand tons against 5 million tons in October.

In November Ukraine imported 33.7 thousand tons of aviation fuel, which is 7.5% higher than shipments in October. Imports RT increase for the second month in a row. This coincided with contracts to supply the Ministry of defence of 25 thousand tons of fuel, which in September concluded the company OKKO, Glusco and “Torum”.

Shipment of RT from Kremenchug refinery by rail in November decreased by 30% (by 6.3 thousand tons), to 14.6 thousand tons. Traditionally, almost the entire volume of the plant supplies to the airport “Borispol”.

The balance of the RT market in November amounted to 48.3 thousand tons compared to 52.3 thousand tons in October.

For 11 months of 2019, the balance of the aviation fuel market amounted to 451,5 thousand tons, which is 34% (in the amount of 231.5 thousand tons) less than in the same period of 2018. The reduction of market volume due to the tightening of control over target use of jet fuel, introduced from 1 January 2019.

Imports decreased by 48%, to of 246.2 thousand tons, while domestic production remained at the level of 205 thousand tons. Deliveries from Belarus increased by 4.4% to 65.8 thousand tons, from Lithuania – by 11.9% to 140.8 thousand tonnes of sea imports decreased by 86% to 39.5 thousand tons.
