Montreal: gunshots heard in Rivière-des-Prairies

Several gunshots were heard during the night from Monday to Tuesday in the Rivière-des-Prairies sector, in Montreal.

The police were alerted shortly after midnight to shots fired outside near Jacques-Rousseau and Beauchatel streets.

On the spot, they found at least one case of a projectile of a firearm, specified Julien Lévesque, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

A dog handler was called to the scene.

There are no injured or suspects, according to the police, who do not yet know who would be the target of the shots. What will try to determine the investigation opened by the SPVM.
